A stunner tonight.  Tom Brady announced on his Facebook and Instagram pages that he is coming out of retirement to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Next season will be Brady's 23rd.  He will turn 45 before the start of the regular season.

Here is the statement Brady posted on his Facebook page:

These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.

I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible.

I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.

Interesting that there was no video to accompany the story, also interesting that there was a type in the word "business" in the final line (the typo was corrected in this article).

If there is a 45 year old on the planet that can play at the highest level at this age, it is Brady.

Brady famously said "I'll retire when I suck."  He clearly has a ways to go before he sucks.
