[THOMAS] New Pot Committee Needs To Wait On The State

The New Bedford City Council is looking ahead to the day when cannabis is legal to sell. Council President Joe Lopes has formed a new committee, the Special Committee on Licensing and Zoning for Cannabis will feature prominent members of the council to question numerous people, pro and con, on recreational marijuana to give their opinions on why or why not to the sale and distribution of all forms of marijuana. It’s great to be forward thinking, but for now this special committee needs to take a wait and see attitude.
