The First Recreational Marijuana Dispensary in Dartmouth Is Officially Open

Dartmouth residents no longer have to travel to New Bedford or Fall River to legally purchase medical and recreational marijuana.

The town's first cannabis dispensary has officially opened to the public on 493 Faunce Corner Road. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 11 A.M. for the Grand Opening of Solar's Dartmouth cannabis dispensary. This is the third Solar adult-use retail dispensary in Massachusetts (Seekonk and Somerset) and the very first dispensary in the town of Dartmouth.

"Today is a great day for Solar," said Edward Dow, CEO of Solar. "We have been looking forward to Dartmouth opening for some time now. To finally commence business operations and open the doors of our third Massachusetts retail location is a testament to the amazing team we have at Solar. The ribbon cutting went well and I was really happy with the turnout. A lot of people showed up and we're really happy to be here and excited about our new Dartmouth location."

Solar Dartmouth is accessible to anyone 21 years of age or older and is designed to dramatically improve consumer access to high-quality cannabis products around the New Bedford area.

At this stage, Solar is focusing on product offering and ease of access, offering ample parking, and a quick in-and-out shopping experience.
