Jackie Bradley Jr. went 3-for-4 with two RBI and John Lackey tossed seven strong innings, as the Red Sox cruised past the Rangers 5-1 in the opener of a three-game series at Fenway Park.
Bradley Jr. said it was great to get their first home win.
And he's happy to do his part.
Bradley Jr. helped the team with a great bunt.
Lackey gave up just an unearned run on five hits and two walks over seven frames as he improved to 2-and-0.
Lackey got some help in the field from Grady Sizemore.
Daniel Nava and Dustin Pedroia also plated a run each for the Sox, who were swept by Milwaukee over the weekend.
Once again, the Red Sox brought in Koji to close it out.
