Anyone who really knows me will tell you that I can't be allowed in the kitchen unsupervised. Yet, I was assigned to write a recipe blog this week. Go figure! Fortunately, I have Pinterest on my side and managed to find a yummy treat to share with you all.

This is the Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Shake. With protein from the peanut butter, fiber from the oats, and chocolate powder just because, this is a great way to start your day off right! It tastes kind of like a Reese's too, so no complaints there.

Ingredients:

1 cup of cold milk

2 Tbsp of Nesquik chocolate powder

1 Tbsp of peanut butter (I prefer Jif)

1 Tbsp of oats

4-6 ice cubes (I added more)

Mix all in a blender and serve with a drizzle of melted peanut butter on top. It's all about the presentation here, folks! My advice to you is to make sure that the spout is closed tight when you start pouring your ingredients in the blender. Don't "pull a Kasey" and end up wearing this concoction on your feet like I did. I swear, this is why I can't have nice things.

I'll be making this for my Townsquare friends tomorrow after the show and you can watch as Pete and I host the first edition of "Kasey's Kitchen." We'll have the video up on the website ASAP!
