The Effects Of Bullying Can Last To Age 40
Were you bullied as a child? New research finds that those who were bullied as children can still show signs 40 years later.
The UK study covered nearly 8,000 children and found that 28% had been bullied occasionally, and 15% were bullied frequently. Research found those who had been bullied were more likely to have lower educational levels, were less likely to be in a relationship and were more likely to report a lower quality of life as adults.
Researchers say, "The effects of bullying are still very visible nearly four decades later...with health, social and economic consequences lasting well into adulthood."
