Former WBSM News Director Lands Gig at Fox News Network
Tim Dunn has wanted to be a newsman for as long as he can remember.
Following stints with several radio stations and newspapers in Massachusetts, including three months as WBSM News Director from July to October 2019, Dunn has landed at the Fox News Network in New York.
"It's still so surreal to me that I got hired here," Dunn said. "It's a dream come true."
Dunn was born on March 1, 1993, in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. He graduated from Old Rochester Regional High School in 2011 and Bridgewater State College in 2015.
Dunn began writing for the popular Fox & Friends morning program at Fox News on November 1, 2023. That required a huge lifestyle change, including moving to Manhattan and adjusting the body clock to a new sleeping pattern.
Dunn said to be able to write for the morning news program, he has to be at his desk by 2 a.m. each day.
"Even earlier than I ever did in radio," he said. "It's not easy, but I'm only 30, and if I'm gonna do it at any point in my life, it's now."
Dunn's workday ends at 10 a.m., but in the crazy news business, things can change in a hurry.
Ainsley Earhardt, Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones co-host Fox & Friends, which airs weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET on the Fox News Network.
One positive thing about reporting for work at 2 a.m. is that at least you miss all of the midtown traffic at rush hour.
