Fox News’ Brooke Taylor Returned to Providence for Brown Shooting Coverage

The recent shooting incident at Brown University in Providence was a homecoming for Fox News reporter Brooke Taylor, who provided live coverage from the Rhode Island capital.

Brooke Taylor’s Full-Circle Return to Providence

Taylor, who joined Fox News as a national correspondent in August 2024, is no stranger to Providence. She served as weekend anchor and reporter for ABC6 from 2019 to 2021.

In a recent Facebook post, Taylor referred to her return to Providence to cover the Brown shootings as a "full-circle moment," explaining that Providence was her "second" television market as a reporter and a city she "lived, grew, dreamed, and hustled in."

From ABC6 to Fox News

Taylor said that prior to the Brown assignment for Fox News, she had not been back to Providence since leaving her ABC6 job. She called her return a "reminder of the journey so far."

"This market reminds me of all the families I met here who have shaped my career, the importance of holding public officials accountable, asking questions, and most importantly being a trusted source," she wrote.

Roots and Professional Growth

Taylor is from the Upper East Side of New York City. She is a 2017 graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a B.S. in Broadcast Digital Journalism.

Her television reporting career has included stints in Elmira, New York, and Houston, Texas. Currently, Taylor works for Fox News out of Dallas, Texas.
