BOSTON (WBSM) — Boston Police have identified the woman who was fatally shot in Dorchester on May 31 as a Taunton woman.

Authorities said that they arrived at 36 Edson Street on Friday, May 31 to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found an adult woman, who has now been identified as Pereshah Shear-Yashub, 27, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Shear-Yashub was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests have been made in connection to the killing. The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
