As SouthCoast temperatures continue rising, YMCA facilities have opened their doors as cooling centers to help keep residents safe.

YMCA locations in Wareham, Mattapoisett, New Bedford and Swansea are among those offering family fun in May.

The Full Plate Project is a partnership with The Greater Boston Food Bank and provides food for our Southcoast neighbors in need.

Mobile markets will now be offered at five local branches each month.

The fundraiser will support YMCA SouthCoast.

Trick-or-treat in the parking lot where candy will be handed out in a safe, sanitary format.

The event will be held virtually this year due to COVID-19, but that means that you create your own route.

The Y will serve as a cooling station to help area residents beat the heat.

The Community Foundation of Southeastern Mass helped organizations providing direct support to those affected by the pandemic.
