After celebrating his re-election to a fourth term Tuesday night, New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell returned to the WBSM airwaves Wednesday afternoon with an eye toward the future.

This afternoon, a "shelter in place" order was instituted at Durfee High School in Fall River, following a fight between ninth grade students and rumors of a weapon on campus.

Mayor Jon Mitchell says New Bedford is well-prepared for Hurricane Jose, and urges individual residents to prepare as well.
