Bristol County District Attorney Sam Sutter has pulled nomination papers to run for Mayor in the city of Fall River.

But in a statement given to the Herald News,  the District Attorney said he would not begin his campaign till after the conclusion of a court hearing next Monday to determine whether the recall election of Mayor Will Flanagan will go forward.

Mayor Flanagan is challenging the Board of Elections decision that allowed the recall election, and the City Council has set December 16th as the date.

Sutter says his experience in the District Attorney's office puts him in a unique position to lead Fall River to a new era of prosperity and respect.
