A two car crash on route 140 Sunday morning in New Bedford sends at least one person to the hospital. The crash happened just after 6am. Police say a car was heading south in the northbound lane when it collided with another vehicle. State and New Bedford police were on scene, and the crash is under investigation.

State Police are also investigating a pedestrian accident in Lakeville.

State police responded around 5:40pm Saturday to route 140 in Lakeville, near exit ten, and learned that 46 year old Darren Taylor of Lakeville had been struck by a car, as he was walking on 140-south to assist another driver who had crashed in the median.

State police say Taylor was transported by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the car, 46 year old Anna Aguiar of Arlington was not hurt. State police say she assisted at the scene till an ambulance arrived. No charges have been filed.
