A new Southcoast Urgent Care Center was welcomed to Wareham Crossing with a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning.

The center will open to the public seven days a week beginning Tuesday, September 2nd.

Medical Director of Urgent Care Pamela Spatz says it is intended to supplement patients' current healthcare.

This is the second Southcoast Urgent Care Center to open over the past year and a third is expected by the end of 2014.

The center will be open to all patients with a number of "minor" illnesses and injuries including burns, lacerations, broken bones, and flu symptoms.

Patients don't have to be a member of Southcoast Health to recieve care.
