With football season officially underway, many (including us) are already looking ahead to the culmination of the season and anxiously awaiting the Super Bowl.

Regardless of whether or not your team makes it that far, there is one thing we can count on: the halftime performance. Who will take the big stage this year? Will there be special guests?

We asked you to share your thoughts on possible performers and you let us know who you would be most excited to see on stage.

Taylor Swift is a frontrunner for many as rumors have begun to swirl, even with the NFL commissioner.

However, she was not a top pick from our local listeners. Many cast their vote for anyone but Swift.

Lynn Leger Lacey is hoping to see some fresh faces on stage.

"It's been a long time since we've had something other than appealing to the teens and 20, 30 somethings! Time for a change!" she said.

Bring on the Boy Bands

Many who weighed in mentioned pop groups from the late '90s and early '00s.

Joanie Esteves is on board for a group performance, hoping to see a few of them gather together on stage, writing, "NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, New Kids and New Edition all together on one stage."

Brianne Cutler is on board as well.

"When Michaela mentioned Backstreet Boys the other day I was like hell yea with NSYNC," she wrote. "Shoot make it a Y2k party and get Christina and Britney. It would be like when all the rappers came out."

Other Suggestions

Other noteworthy names thrown into the mix include Jelly Roll, Metallica, Teddy Swims and Post Malone.

Super Bowl LX will be held on Sunday, February 8 at Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers.
