SOMERSET — Somerset Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who withdrew thousands of dollars from an account at St. Anne’s Credit Union without authorization.

Somerset Police Chief George McNeil on August 15, at approximately 11:07 a.m., a man entered St. Anne's Credit Union and allegedly presented a photo ID in the victim's name and withdrew $5,000 in cash from a home equity line of credit without authorization.

The unknown man left the bank and walked north across the bank parking lot to an adjacent parking lot where a sedan was waiting. The sedan is described as silver, possibly a Hyundai Sonata or Toyota Camry, with an unknown registration. The sedan left the parking lot and drove south on County St. (Route 138).

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact Patrolmen Matthew Lima at 508-679-2138.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
