Seekonk Police Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect
SEEKONK — On Monday, October 02, 2017, at approximately 9:55 a.m., Seekonk Police officers responded to the Santander Bank, located at 21 Central Avenue, for a reported armed robbery. The branch is located in the Benny’s Plaza on Central Avenue, in close proximity to the Pawtucket, RI line.
Multiple police units arrived on scene and were able to determine that the male suspect had fled prior to their arrival. It was reported that the male suspect entered the bank, produced a note and demanded money. The stolen amount has yet to be determined. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous at this time.
The suspect is described as a white male, possibly of Hispanic descent, approximately 5-8 to 6-feet tall, in his late 20’s to mid 30’s, wearing glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray cargo pants. The suspect was last observed walking eastbound on Central Avenue, toward Bakers corner.
