Dorchester Man Convicted of Using Seekonk Motels to Traffick Underage Girls
SEEKONK (WBSM) — A Dorchester man has been convicted of trafficking and prostituting underage girls out of Seekonk motels.
Troy Footman, 61, was charged in Fall River Superior Court with two counts of human trafficking of a child, two counts of rape of a child-aggravated by age difference, assault and battery, and other related charges.
Between 2013 and 2014, Footman trafficked two underage girls and raped one of them in Seekonk motels.
He also violently assaulted the girl he raped on at least one occasion.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, Footman received false identification documents and had the girls work long shifts at a Cheaters, a former strip club in Providence, Rhode Island.
Footman transported the girls from Seekonk to Providence. He also prostituted the girls out of Seekonk motels if they didn't make at least $1,000 per day.
Footman was sentenced on March 1 to serve 60 to 80 years in state prison.
