See The Most Wish-Listed Rentals in Massachusetts and Rhode Island
Travel is usually one of the biggest resolutions people make in the new year. Getting out and exploring new horizons might even be the goal you set for yourself in 2023.
Rental sites like Airbnb and VRBO probably see a big uptick in bookings right after a new year begins and even more people are likely adding certain rental properties to their travel wishlists.
I honestly didn't know wish-listing an Airbnb rental was a thing, but it must be quite popular because Men's Journal recently shared the most wishlisted Airbnbs for each state in America, including, of course, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
While every state's most wish-listed rental was different, they all seemed to have one thing in common. Being a bit off the grid.
Most of the places people hope to stay in are the types of rentals where they can get away from it all. Epic treehouses, tiny houses in the middle of the woods and peaceful waterfront cabins popped up state after state.
In Massachusetts, the most wish-listed house was a combination of all those things. Pondhouse in Ashfield is a small cabin that sits on the water, has no WiFi or cell service and is surrounded by trees. It's the trifecta of vacation escapes.
Booking it is a bit difficult, but past renters say the wait is totally worth it.
You can keep scrolling to see why this natural getaway is in such high demand. Plus, check out the Rhode Island farmhouse most wish-listed in the Ocean State and the seriously off-the-grid escape in Connecticut.
If you ask me, it's the treehouse in North Conway, New Hampshire, that is most likely to make my personal wishlist.
