See the 2017 Solar Eclipse at the Bridgewater State University Observatory
Bridgewater State University Observatory is hosting a 'Solar Eclipse 2017' viewing later this month.
"On August 21, 2017, we will see a partial eclipse of the Sun with the Moon covering nearly 70% of its surface! The eclipse itself begins at 1:30 pm and ends at 4:00 pm. Arrive as early as 1:00 pm for access to eclipse glasses (while supplies last), optical projection systems, and solar telescopes to safely view the Sun. Professor Doyle will be speaking in the auditorium from 1 pm - 2 pm, and afterward we will stream video of totality."
This is the first eclipse in America since the '70s, and we won't get another chance to experience this until 2024. So take advantage of the opportunity! Also, I took an astronomy course with Professor Doyle my freshman year at BSU. He's an awesome teacher and his lecture is sure to be filled with a ton of info about the eclipse.
