BROCKTON (WBSM) — A Bridgewater man has been charged with vandalizing Bridgewater State University by affixing neo-Nazi propaganda stickers on school property.

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced today that Michael Beaudry, 32, pleaded not guilty today in Brockton District Court to one count each of vandalizing property and tagging property.

According to the D.A.’s Office, BSU Police began an investigation into vandalism that occurred on Railroad Drive on March 3.

“Several neo-Nazi propaganda stickers had been placed in or around the bus stop, and on other locations in the area of Railroad Drive and the Spring Street parking lot,” the D.A.’s Office said. “Both properties are owned and operated by BSU.”

Surveillance cameras showed a “distinct” white pickup, according to the D.A.’s Office, in the area on March 1 at about 7:36 a.m.

“The truck operator, later identified as Beaudry, exits the motor vehicle and can be seen in the video placing the stickers on the plexiglass of the bus stop before he takes a picture of the sticker with his cell phone,” the D.A’.s Office said.

“Beaudry is captured in the video wearing a dark colored jacket with a patch on the left arm, dark colored pants, boots, and a red stocking cap,” they said. “He is also captured on camera giving a Nazi salute after posting one sticker.”

When campus police and other authorities obtained a search warrant for the truck on March 7, officers allegedly located “various anti-Semitic and white nationalist stickers.” Officers also seized his cell phone as evidence, and the D.A.’s Office said Beaudry was wearing “the same red stocking cap, jacket and boots with red laces.”

He also allegedly had more anti-Semitic neo-Nazi and white nationalist stickers on his person, in addition to a “Hitler Youth knife with a swastika on the handle,” according to the D.A.’s Office.

Prosecutors requested Beaudry be held on $50,000 bail and conditions of GPS monitoring, a stay away/no contact order for BSU, and that he surrender all firearms. Judge Michael Vitali set bail at $2,500 and adopted the Commonwealth’s conditions.

Beaudry is next scheduled to appear in court on April 1.
