The United States Secretary of Energy returned home on Saturday and delivered a commencement address at UMass Dartmouth.

Ernest Moniz attended Durfee High School and is a Boston College Graduate. He was named Energy Secretary by President Obama last year after a 40 year career on the faculty of the Mass. Instatiute of Technology.

Dr. Moniz' remarks centered around climate change and clean energy, and he praised the town of Dartmouth for its investments in renewable energy......

Moniz told the graduates, clean energy is at least part of the solution to resolving the three major issues of their time, protecting the environment, national security, and job creation.

This year's final commencement at UMass Dartmouth will be held Monday, when Gov. Deval Patrick addresses graduates of the UMass School of Law at Dartmouth.
