Route 6 Accident Scene Cleared

Bourne Police are reporting that an earlier accident scene on Route 6 has been cleared.

The accident was reported before 8:30 a.m. Thursday near Exit 1 on the westbound side.

Both sides of the highway were closed as Bourne Police and Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene and there were backups on the Sagamore Bridge.

Massachusetts State Police say three people were injured and they were transferred to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital- Plymouth.

The highway is now open although traffic delays will remain.
