WAREHAM (WBSM) — A Rochester man died Tuesday after the motorcycle he was operating was involved in a crash in Wareham with another vehicle.

Wareham Police said officers responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at about 1:55 p.m. on March 4 on Cranberry Highway in the area of Patterson Brook Road.

They arrived to find that the operator of the motorcycle had been ejected and was being tended to by good Samaritans. The officers assisted in rendering aid to the man until Wareham Fire and EMS arrived.

Once EMS arrived, they pronounced the motorcyclist deceased. He was described as a 20-year-old Rochester man, but his identity has not yet been released by the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.

Police said the 67-year-old Northbridge, Massachusetts man who was driving the other vehicle remained on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by Wareham Police, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, and troopers assigned to the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS).
