Despite a good performance this week against the New York Giants in the Patriots' final preseason game, New England has reportedly decided to release the very popular Tim Tebow.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, an NFL source has told him that the New England Patriots have decided to release Tim Tebow. Apparently he wasn't able to impress coach Bill Belichick enough on Thursday night against New York to solidify a spot on the team.

Tebow was asked on Thursday how he thought that his performance would help his chances on making the team, and he said that he thought that they improved them. However, too little, too late.

Tebow threw two TD's in the Patriots' 28-20 win over the Giants on Thursday, but was inconsistent during the rest of the preseason.
