Rep. Joseph Kennedy III Favors Impeachment Proceedings in House

Massachusetts Congressman Joseph Kennedy III is calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

In a statement released on Friday, Kennedy said the decision was not made lightly, nor is it a time to celebrate. He said it's a dark day for the country when the Commander-in-  Chief is accused of high crimes.

Kennedy says after reading the Mueller report in full and consulting with legal experts, its time for Congress to act.

He says the report makes it painfully clear that the President obstructed justice on multiple occasions, and for Congress to do nothing would fail the American public and the democratic system Congress represents.
