Rehoboth Man Arrested in Connection With Armed Robbery
A Rehoboth man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in that town was arrested earlier today in Boston.
According to Rehoboth Police, Rafael Gonzalez, 62, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in connection with a December 5 armed robbery of a business on Winthrop Street in Rehoboth.
Police said that a victim reported being robbed by a male suspect who was wearing a mask and was armed with a pipe. The suspect allegedly threatened the clerk with the pipe and demanded money from the cash draw before fleeing the scene on foot.
After investigating, the arrest warrant was sought for Gonazlez in Taunton District Court on December 9.
Gonzalez will be arraigned in Taunton District Court on a charge of armed robbery while masked.
