RAYNHAM (WBSM) — The names of the Raynham Police officers involved in the shooting death of Stephen Maclean have been released, as has body-worn camera footage of the incident.

Raynham Police Chief David LaPlante released a statement Wednesday afternoon, a day after the officer-involved shooting in which Maclean, 35, was shot inside his King Philip Street apartment after he opened the door and immediately pointed a gun at police.

“Sgt. Frank Pacheco and Officer Jennifer Lang, both 12-year veterans of the Raynham Police Department, were placed on administrative leave Tuesday per the department's policies and procedures,” Chief LaPlante said. “They will remain on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation by the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.”

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office also released the body camera footage from the officers involved.

“The videos blur out the officers’ faces and none of the videos have audio,” the D.A.’s Office said in a release. “The investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing, and is being conducted by prosecutors and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office.”

In the video, Maclean can be seen opening the door and drawing his gun immediately:

Maclean was arrested earlier in the day on charges of witness intimidation and disorderly conduct for allegedly intimidating a witness in a Taunton District Court assault case where his girlfriend was the defendant.

It was requested that Maclean be detained because was on probation for operating under the influence, but a judge released him on personal recognizance.

Raynham Police were then called Tuesday afternoon to Maclean’s apartment at 501 King Philip Street after receiving a call from his girlfriend stating he was acting erratically after having been fired from his job that morning for showing up to work intoxicated. He was also reportedly becoming “belligerent and aggressive,” according to the D.A.’s Office.
