Raynham Motorcycle vs. Car Crash Sends Four to Hospital
RAYNHAM (WBSM) — A motorcycle driver sustained life-threatening injuries and three other people were also taken to the hospital following a crash between the bike and a motor vehicle on Route 44 in Raynham on Wednesday.
According to Raynham Police Chief David LaPlante and Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita, multiple 911 calls came in at 5:34 p.m. on March 19 reporting a crash near 165 New State Highway (Route 44), about a mile west of the interchange with Route 24.
They said the preliminary investigation revealed a 2020 Toyota Camry was trying to make a left-hand turn on to Route 44 westbound when it struck a 2012 Harley-Davidson that was being operated by a 55-year-old Taunton man with a 16-year-old female passenger, heading east.

The motorcycle driver was transported by Raynham firefighters to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with life-threatening injuries. His passenger was also taken to the same hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the Camry, a 74-year-old Middleboro woman, was transported by ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford with non-life-threatening injuries. Her passenger, a 50-year-old Middleboro man, was taken by firefighters to Morton Hospital in Taunton with unspecified injuries.
Route 44 remained closed for nearly two hours as the crash was investigated. No further information was provided.
The crash remains under investigation by Raynham Police.
