Rapper Mos Def Demonstrates What Hunger Strikers Go Through at Guantánamo Bay

Yasiin Bey, better known to the world as Mos Def, a hip hop icon and actor, decided to show the world what a typical day in like at Guantanamo Bay for Muslims who are practicing fasting for Ramadan.

Ramadan is a time in the Muslim religion where people fast (no food or water) from sunrise to sunset. The Muslim prisoners at Guantanamo Bay practice this was well. Ramadan began on July 8, and goes until August 7, 2013.
