Police Investigating Unattended Death In Dighton

State and local police are actively investigating the discovery of a female body Wednesday morning on a dirt road in a new residential development in Dighton.

Dighton Police received a call around 8:15am, reporting the body adjacent to the Hunter's Hill Residential Neighborhood.

The woman has been identified as 47 year old Tracey Hunter of Dighton.

The Bristol County District Attorney's office is currently treating the case as an unattended death.

The State Medical Examiner has taken custody of the body and will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
