Massachusetts State Police and local Police Departments took part in high speed chase early Saturday that went through at least ten communities.  The chase ended near the  Whitman-Brockton line, when police lost sight of the suspect's vehicle.

State Police say speeds during the chase exceeded 100 miles an hour,

The suspect vehicle with two occupants then  led Police on an hour long chase, at one point colliding with a Taunton Police cruiser.  The chase continued onto Route 25 in Wareham, with the car crossing the median two times to evade Police.

Police eventually lost sight of the car near the intersection of Routes 14 and 27 near the Whitman-Brockton line.

It was determined that the car had been rented by a Brockton woman, but Police couldn't determine whether  she was an occupant.  They have also checked her home, but did not locate the suspects. . The incident remains under investigation.
