Pirates & Privateers Presentations in Fairhaven

Pirates & Privateers Presentations will take place every Friday morning from June 1 to September 28 at 10 am (weather permitting), hear tales of pirates and Revolutionary War privateers. Learn about Nathaniel Pope and the Revolution's first naval battle and other privateer exploits.

"Abby Black," a ship's doctor, joins Greybeard to talk about herbs and amputation and smoke enemas. "Andrew the Powder Monkey" will describe how cannons are loaded and fired. Then watch a real swivel cannon get loaded and fired!

This is a fun, free, family-friendly program that is enjoyed by people of all ages. Most school's in this area don't let out until mid-June, but this is definitely something to consider bringing the kiddos to enjoy at least once over summer break. And did I forget to mention that it's FREE?
