TAUNTON (WBSM) — A suspect was taken into custody Friday after a person was shot at while driving in their vehicle in Taunton.
According to Taunton Police Chief Edward Walsh, the department received a report at about 8:21 a.m. on May 2 of a person shot at while driving in their vehicle.
He said the preliminary investigation indicated that a driver was shot at by the driver of another vehicle in the area of Fifth Street and West Water Street. Walsh said officers found two bullet holes in the vehicle.
Walsh said police were able to identify a suspect who had since been taken into custody on other charges in another jurisdiction. Walsh said the suspect is expected to face charges in connection with the Taunton incident, but the suspect’s name was not released.
According to Walsh, the investigation into the incident “remains active and ongoing.”
