The behavior of House Speak Nancy Pelosi (D-California) during Tuesday night's State of the Union Address was beyond the pale. Pelosi, in clear view of the American people, put on an ill-mannered display so disrespectful and childish that her colleagues in the House should consider censuring her for it.

Not only did Pelosi and her cabal of like-minded left-wing resisters refuse to celebrate record low unemployment statistics for minorities and our youth and fail to respond to positive statistics in the war on opioid addiction, but they refused to acknowledge Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Rush Limbaugh and other invited guests, including Janiyah Davis, a black fourth grader from Philadelphia who was honored with an Opportunity Scholarship that will allow her to attend a better school.

Pelosi refused to look up when Sgt. 1st Class Townsend Williams was reunited with his unsuspecting young family and instead shuffled through papers on the desk in front of her. Throughout the speech, Pelosi muttered and mumbled and made faces to show her displeasure. In the end when the speech was concluded she stood and ripped her copy to shreds.

At the beginning of the evening, Trump refused to accept Pelosi's outstretched hand. Why would he? The gesture was empty and insincere. Pelosi is attempting to remove him from office. For her part, Pelosi broke from the traditional introduction for a president for the State of the Union which is: “Members of Congress, I have the high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the President of the United States.” She offered a shorter version instead: “Members of Congress, the President of the United States.” A clear violation of protocol.

President Donald Trump's third State of the Union Address was a positive and uplifting speech full of accomplishments and promise. Pelosi and her ilk are full of rage and resentment and are hellbent on resisting anything this administration puts forward.

Pelosi's childlike tantrum was hard to miss as she sat on the podium to the rear of the lectern just over Trump's left shoulder. She was on full display for all of America to see. Many people are outraged and disgusted by her antics. Just do a scan of social media sites.

Nancy Pelosi's behavior just may influence senators who will be asked to vote later today to remove Trump from office and will certainly influence voters who may have been on the fence about this fall's elections.

Pelosi may have cost her party control of the House and perhaps even the presidency.
