The New England Patriots are stepping onto the national stage this Sunday night, facing off against their toughest opponent yet this season, the undefeated Buffalo Bills. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m., marking the Pats’ first prime-time spotlight in 2025.

Fun 107 Patriots reporter Nick Coit says the timing couldn’t be better.

“They’re coming off a strong win against Carolina, where a lot of guys got involved on both sides of the ball,” Coit explained. “That’s exactly the kind of momentum you want going into prime time.”

Drake Maye Continues His Development

The big storyline is second-year quarterback Drake Maye, who continues to show steady growth in his NFL sophomore year. “Week by week, you’re starting to see that leap,” Coit said. “He’s figuring things out, and that’s encouraging.”

But the challenge ahead is steep. Buffalo’s Josh Allen is playing at the height of his powers, leading an explosive 4-0 Bills team that looks every bit like a Super Bowl contender.

“I don’t think you stop Josh Allen. You just try to contain him,” Coit noted. “If he’s not beating you with his arm, he’s beating you with his legs. That’s why it’s such a test for the Patriots’ defense.”

Buffalo fans, long haunted by the Brady-era dominance, always relish the chance to turn the tables when the Patriots visit, and according to Coit, the environment in Orchard Park is one of the toughest in football.

No Upset Coming: Coit Picks Buffalo

As for his prediction, Coit gives the edge to Buffalo, picking the Bills 31–17. Still, he believes New England can earn respect if they show fight on the road. “It’s about continuing to build, and this is the perfect measuring stick game,” he said.

Kickoff is Sunday night at 8:20 p.m. on NBC.
