According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Field Yates, the New England Patriots have made a deal with the San Francisco 49ers, ahead of day two of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The deal will see the Patriots acquire offensive tackle Trent Brown, along with the 143rd overall selection, while the Niners will get New England's third round pick, number 95 overall.

Brown, who is recovering from a shoulder injury that limited him to just 10 games last season, became expendable for San Francisco following the team's decision to select Notre Dame tackle Mike McGlinchey ninth overall, Thursday night.

The 25-year-old, who entered the league as a seventh round pick of the Niners back in 2015, is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.

Brown has played primarily right tackle in his brief career and is now the second offensive lineman the team has brought into the fold in as many days, after drafting Georgia's Isaiah Wynn 23rd overall.
