After shocking many by selecting quarterback Danny Etling in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots have reportedly agreed to terms with the former Purdue Boilermaker and LSU Tiger.

According to a Pro Football Talk report, the team and Etling have come to terms on a four year deal that will see the youngster join a depth chart comprised of future Hall-of-Famer Tom Brady and backup Brian Hoyer.

Etling, who becomes the first of New England's nine draft picks to sign with the team, was selected with the 219th overall pick in April's draft.
