Governor Patrick is speaking out against a ballot question that would repeal the new gas tax law. This summer the legislature increased the gas tax by three-cents and agreed to tie future increases to the rate of inflation. Patrick says the revenue is needed to pay for transportation projects. He tells the "Boston Herald" lawmakers who support the repeal should explain why they keep showing up at ribbon-cuttings. Those in favor of repeal say the automatic hikes amount to "taxation without representation."
