Boston’s Fenway Park to Host Lana Del Rey’s First Stadium Show
BOSTON (WBSM) — Boston's Fenway Park, usually the domain of the Red Sox, is set to host pop sensation Lana Del Rey's first-ever stadium show.
Lana Del Rey will arrive in Boston on Thursday, June 20 to kick off the Fenway Concert Summer Series. The news came just after her double weekend Coachella headline earlier this month.
The pop star last visited TD Garden in 2018 during her "LA to the Moon Tour," making her upcoming performance at Fenway her first in Massachusetts in over six years.
She first climbed the charts after her 2011 debut single "Video Games" release, and now she'll be promoting the drop of her recent Grammy-nominated album Did You Know There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.
Any Massachusetts resident could argue that Boston is one of New England's best places to visit. While the singer hasn't tied her decision to any specific connection, Fenway Park doesn't come too much as a surprise.
While the baseball field sits empty with teams on the road, the stadium concerts are a perfect way to fill the space. They boast more seating than an indoor arena, ensuring a better sellout for surrounding businesses.
With a headlining artist like Lana Del Rey, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans to witness a performance slated for one night only.
Fenway Park has hosted many famous performances by artists in the past, including Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters and Justin Timberlake, just to name a few. In addition to Lana Del Rey, many more artists will take to the stage this summer.
Tickets are selling fast for this one-night show. If you are a Lana fan, now is the time to see her first-ever stadium show.
