Diono is recalling more than 500,000 child car seats because they may not properly protect children in a crash.

According to WPRI 12, the recall covers the Radian R100, Radian R120, Radian RXT, Olympia, Pacifica, and Rainier convertible and booster seats. The seats were made from January 2014 to September 2017 by Diono, which used to be called Sunshine Kids Juvenile.

Diono says that it has received no reports of injuries and the problem was discovered in company testing.

The recall is expected to start on Dec. 22, 2017. Diono will send owners a kit with an energy absorbing pad and a new chest clip at no cost.  Customers who have questions can contact Diono at (855) 463-4666.
