New Hawthorn Medical Facility Opens

On Monday, the Hawthorn Medical Associates opened their new facility on Faunce Corner Road.The three-story 126,700 square-foot building is just the latest to open on Hawthorn Medical's ever expanding campus in North Dartmouth.

Departments operating through the new 531 facility include an expanded Urgent Care Center, Women's Center, and all Family and Internal Medicine physicians.

Hawthorn Medical's CEO James Gularek said the complex allows for improved teamwork between departments, along with better convenience for patients.

Since its opening on Monday, the new facility has already seen 60 to 80 patients per day, with over 900 on the first day. Hawthorn Medical will continue to move more services over from old locations as construction finishes, with the Mattapoisett office closing and some State Road Departments in Dartmouth already being moved.
