NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford police have seized more than one kilogram of fentanyl and arrested a man they suspect of operating under several aliases in a drug bust on Tuesday.

Police said organized crime detectives searched a Pawnee Court home in the Shawmut Village housing complex on Dec. 20.

During the search, detectives said they found 1,142 grams of fentanyl, along with more than eight grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, and multiple cell phones.

A man police identified through fingerprinting as 41-year-old Felix Berrios Colon was arrested on charges in connection to multiple drugs offenses.

Police said Colon is wanted on two open cocaine and heroin trafficking cases out of Essex Superior Court from 2021.

However, according to police, detectives continue to investigate if Colon is the suspect's real name, as he was allegedly operating under a number of different aliases.
