New Bedford Police Seize Nearly 300 Grams of Fentanyl and Arrest Two
NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police seized nearly 300 grams of fentanyl and arrested two people.
Police say that on April 15, Narcotics and Gang Unit detectives seized 287.5 grams of fentanyl following an investigation at 349 Park Street, Apartment 2.
As a result, police arrested Esequiel Quinones, 47, and Brenda Hernandez, 36, both of that address, and charged them with trafficking in fentanyl.
According to police, Quinones has multiple prior convictions for dealing drugs, including a 2015 conviction for trafficking Oxycodone. They say he currently has an open case in New Bedford District Court for distributing a Class B substance.
