New Bedford Man Arrested for Heroin Trafficking

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police narcotics unit took more than 50 grams of heroin off the street Monday, Aug. 13 and made an arrest for heroin trafficking after an investigation into a heroin delivery service being operated out of 4579 Acushnet Ave. Apt. E.

Eldeen Colon, 39, of 4579 Acushnet Ave. Apt. E., New Bedford, was subsequently arrested on charges of trafficking in heroin.

When police executed a search warrant at his residence, they located more than 50 grams of heroin, packaging material, digital scales and cash.

He was arrested at 10:46 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13.
