New Bedford Man Arrested Following Narcotics Investigation
NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford man has been arrested following an investigation by the New Bedford Police Department.
Police say on July 20, members of the department’s Narcotics Unit concluded an investigation into a fentanyl distribution service operated out of 49 Winsor Street in New Bedford.
Detectives executed a search warrant at 49 Winsor and discovered over 83 grams of fentanyl, 95 grams of cocaine, and $1,400 in cash.
Police say the target of this investigation was Randall S. Silvia, 41, of New Bedford. Silvia was arrested and charged with the possession of Class A and Class B substances, and trafficking cocaine and fentanyl. Silvia was previously convicted in 2015 for trafficking heroin and cocaine.
Silvia will be arraigned in New Bedford Third District Court on July 22.
