
New Bedford Police Seize Massive Stash of Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Ghost Gun
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — New Bedford Police arrested two people and seized large amounts of cocaine, fentanyl, and a loaded ghost gun.
On May 18, detectives executed search warrants at 1261 Church Street, Apartment B19, 42 Monroe Drive, and a Honda Accord as part of the investigation into Oscar Moreno, 30.
Details of the Narcotics and Weapon Seizure
The investigation and searches led to the seizure of 946.4 grams of cocaine, 306 grams of fentanyl, Percocet tablets, a loaded .40-caliber Poly 80 ghost gun with eight rounds of ammunition, packaging materials, digital scales, and $2,280 in cash.
Prior Criminal History and Criminal Charges Filed
Moreno was previously convicted of possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance in December 2021.

He was arrested and charged with trafficking 200 grams or more of cocaine, trafficking 200 grams or more of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, possession of a Class B substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Additional Arrests and Co-Defendants Charged
Moreno’s roommate Janessa Quino was summoned to face the same charges.
Police also arrested Jalen Perry, 26, a resident of the Monroe Drive residence. He was charged with possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of an untraceable firearm, possession of a large-capacity firearm, and possession of a Class B substance.
