New Bedford Bank Robber Caught

Steven Gruenberg[/caption]An arrest has been made in Bank 5 robbery that took place Wednesday morning in the North End of New Bedford. Based on witness identifications and a description of the vehicle involved, Det. Tyrone Jones developed enough information to secure an arrest warrant.The suspect, identified as 48 year old Stevenb Gruenberg of Carver, was taken into custody without incident at 7pm Wednesday night with the help of the Wareham Police Dept. at the Rosewood Motel located on Cranberry Hwy in Wareham.

Some of the money that was taken in the robbery has been recovered and he was also found in possession of heroin at the time of his arrest. He faces the un armed robbery  and unlawful possession of heroin charges in New Bedford District Court.
