Narcotics Detectives Arrest Three in New Bedford
NEW BEDFORD — On Thursday, May 16, New Bedford Narcotic Detectives arrested three men after targeting street-level narcotics activity in the South End of the city.
While investigating street level drug sales, detectives observed three men engaging in activity consistent with street-level narcotics sales near a convenience store on Orchard Street. Detectives subsequently stopped a motor vehicle leaving the area and a male who walked into the convenience store based on their investigation.
Three men were arrested as a result of the investigation and were identified as Dylan Hart, 25, of 371 Middle Rd., Acushnet; Brian Rizza, 42, of 16A Algonquin Ln., Stratford, CT; and Emmanuel Marquez, 33, of 15 Bluefield St., New Bedford.
Rizza was charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and unlawful possession of Suboxone. Hart was charged conspiracy to violate drug laws, unlawful possession of Suboxone, operating without a license, and three warrants. Marquez was charged with possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone, Adderall, and Suboxone, conspiracy to violate drug laws, receiving stolen property, warrants, carrying a loaded firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
