If music is what feelings sound like, you should have taken in the concert, Music Healing Musicians Jazz Fundraiser. This awesome event launched a one-of-a-kind benefit to support local musicians with medical challenges. Appearing on the Midday Magazine, my brother and dear friend, Grammy-nominated Armsted Christian, who suffers from a condition that steals one's breath, called sarcoidosis.

Armsted talked about his condition candidly and then described the endless line-up of some of the greatest artists who gathered at White's of Westport on Sunday, Oct. 5, to help musicians with medical challenges and also to enjoy the artistry of music greats like: Yoron Israel, Walter Beasley, John Harrison III, Sean Skeete, Leonard Brown, Wesley Wirth, Jeff Lockhart, Alvin Terry, Steve Hunt, Ron Mahdi, Ron Murphey, George Russell Jr., Ron Savage, Jackie Santos, Bill Pierce, Delmar Brown, Kenwood Dennard, Joaquin Santos, Wanetta Jackson, Frank Wilkins, John Lockwood, Stand Strickland, Danny Schwartz and, of course, Armsted Christian, among others.

Thanks to my buddy and brother, Mike Monteiro, we have some great sights and sounds from this extraordinary event. Enjoy!
